When not busy cranking out designs, I enjoy road trips with my family, exploring the northwest from tide pool to peak, and learning something new everyday!
Any opportunity to develop new skills, build design systems, turn ideas into creative, and mentor others is something I'm interested in - so please contact me if you have questions.
A few words from my teammates:
Kiley created the design concepts behind Rheaply’s brand identity and narrative, focusing on the people, items, and stories behind the circular economy movement. She took physical asset management – something that, historically, has been very boring and banal – and turned it completely on its head. Her designs brought wonder and excitement to many of my videos, investor pitches and presentations, and carried us through those major milestones and moments.
Simply put: Our product design and marketing was better and more delightful because of Kiley. She led by example and action, and was a terrific leader to our youngest of designers. She is the ultimate team player and startup culture warrior to boot. Personally, but important: Kiley is the type of human you want on your team, big or small. She just "gets it".
Kiley is curious and thus explores possible solutions from multiple angles, often getting us to a solution that I think other designers would have missed. She's an incredibly talented creative and she's a rock solid collaborator. It's really easy to bounce ideas off of one another, which can often be a sensitive thing since designs must go through many iterations.
Kiley got really good at balancing thinking of designs for the future and where the product was going, while ensuring that we got bite-sized designs lined up for engineering to develop due to the small size of our startup and needing to do a lot of "MVP" and "version 1" launches.
Kiley is all of the following:
🎨An exceptional visual and experience designer, her raw design talents and ability to ignite and rile a team behind her vision is unparalleled.
🎤 A great communicator and project manager, I can always count on Kiley to deliver and keep everyone in the loop.
🦸♀️ An amazing human, Kiley is someone who makes everyone around them better. She is constantly striving to improve herself and those around her.
Kiley is one of those designers who can hear what isn't being said when a creative concept is being discussed. Her experience empowers her to know which pointed questions to ask to get to the root of the request so she can fully understand how design can support the solution. I was impressed by the speed at which Kiley can spin up stunning work. She brings creativity and delight to everything ranging from sales collateral to web pages and product features.
Not only was Kiley a fantastic boss, she was a great mentor and friend. She brings delight and storytelling into everything she works on. She pushes the boundaries of design and brings questions and ideas to other teams that aren’t design-based. She is kind and caring and knows how to get things done!
Kiley is a very talented and joyful person to work with. Strong work ethic, always made deadlines also built good relationships with others to help accomplish larger projects. She sought to understand vs. just push the task through and this enabled her to perform at higher quality levels than her peers. She’s very comfortable asking questions and finding the right people to answer said questions. Kiley always has a smile and is quick to make a joke or laugh. Kiley has an ability to go and learn things and rapidly acquire new skills. She’s a digital native for sure.
Kiley is one of few people that I’ve worked with whose work would consistently leave people ‘wowed’.
She impressed with her ability to craft thoughtful designs that demonstrated a deep understanding of user needs and a passion for design excellence, and her work reflected both empathy for users and a keen appreciation of the craft.
From her contributions to Rheaply's marketing website and campaigns to her innovative designs for our flagship product, she consistently delivered exceptional results.
Kiley created designs that brought Rheaply to life, that took a complex system like the circular economy and made it simple, delightful, and provocative.
She created our first brand narrative and guide that is still used today, that would stand the test of time and rapid changes that happen at a startup.
She brought design thinking into every part of Rheaply's operations – case studies, product feature releases, sales decks – but also quarterly meetings, memos, hosted events and customer touch points. Eventually, she brought this talent into our product design and development team.
An outstanding product designer, Kiley's designs consistently stand out for their creativity and innovative approach. She has a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of user needs, which reflects in the quality of her work.
One of the things that I appreciated most about working with Kiley was her easy-going nature and collaborative spirit. She is always open to feedback and willing to explore new ideas, which made our collaboration smooth and enjoyable.
Her positive attitude and enthusiasm for design are contagious, which definitely motivated me.
It's rare to come across someone as talented and dedicated as Kiley. She has an exceptional gift for design, effortlessly combining creativity with strategy to elevate our brand. She adds delight to everything she does and her ability to deliver is unparalleled.
Kiley consistently impressed my team with her innovative concepts and attention to detail, which has significantly contributed to the success of our marketing campaigns, website, and product. She is a collaborative team player, always ready to lend a hand or share her knowledge with others. I personally learned so much from working with her.
You can really tell a lot about a person by the questions they ask; especially if those questions aren't prompted. Kiley is one of the most curious and mindfully analytical people I've worked with. She pokes at challenges with the raw delight of a child at play and holds the initiatives and objectives of a project with the delicate touch of a sculptor. Her standard of quality is impressive and rivaled only by her ambition to create the best thing for the USER. That focus on empathy is what makes her an unstoppable force on any product design team.
My team depended on Kiley in particular, to refine our catalog and address customer concerns. She liaised with myself, our Parts Configuration Management, and Engineering teams to align our graphics and optioning with production realities.
Her professional demeanor, responsiveness, attention to detail, and outgoing personality directly and positively affected my team’s ability to react quickly to our customers’ needs. In my almost ten years at Watson, I have not worked with a better Marketing representative.
Kiley is consistent and persistent in working and getting projects done on time. She played a big role in making my 3D renderings better, through her input and her creative attention to detail. She was willing to step up and learn new software on her own to better her work and skills. Working with Kiley was fun she always came to work with a smile and a positive attitude, even when our team workload was heavy and stressful.
