In 2018, North Cascades Institute celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of North Cascades National park with the "Explore Together" Campaign.
If you haven't heard, there's a movement happening within the outdoor industry and our National Parks and their partners are struggling to keep up.
Today, transportation and technology have allowed more people to find their place in the Nation's greatest treasure. Parks have become more accessible and enjoyable for all.
Our goal with the #NorthCascadesLove photo contest is to illustrate an inclusive view of the 'typical' park goers and admirers. The photos submitted in this anniversary year contest put a face to those who actively visit, love, and care for these special places.
Seeing is half the battle - with this representative collection of images, North Cascades Institute can put a "face" to the diverse population that will continue to protect these special places for the next 50 years and beyond.
#NorthCascadesLove Photo Contest

Photo Contest Submissions
Photo contest submissions collected from the community were used in subsequent marketing and fundraising campaigns, such as the 'Do You Love the North Cascades?' fundraiser
